Okay so in this thread, some people believe he becomes less threatening with each layer of clothing removed. BUT! I would assume that everyone knows not to fight a naked man.

Fully clothed intimidation level: 100% Shirtless intimidation level 50% Fully nude dude intimidation level: 200%

The new electric ones are fantastic. I do tree trimming and not a blow and mow lawn service but we need to use them since sweeping is never enough. We had to switch to electric in a few neighborhoods (some places you can still use gas) but I love the electric one. Modern day electric lawn care stuff are 10/10.

Dude exactly. I've done landscaping before, it's fucking hard work that you are underpaid for and a good deal of the time you're dealing with people who are very particular and demanding about their yards. I saw this kind of thing happen several times where neighbors get pissy about work trucks parked in the neighborhood or noise from yard tools and come complain too.

Our crew was a 50/50 split of young guys making a buck and 30+ year old dudes who had been doing it for a long time and were very much over it like our shirtless protagonist in this video. Never saw someone try and throw hands on a job but there were damn sure times where I know the thought occurred to some of us lol.

39

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '21

I did landscaping in high school and college and can confirm. Landscapers dont give AF. We were driving down a residential street once and this kid (like my age 15 or 16) yelled at us...for no reason. Dude straight up stopped the truck and told me to get out and fight him! I work with guys like this. You don't wanna talk to them their young, have to deal with assholes all the time. Most of em are struggling in life and if you aren't cool with em they will lose their shit. Want to complain? Talk to whoever hired them, get their company info and talk to the company not the workers. Remember they can jump from Job to job so getting fired means nothing to em.

u/Audriannacu Oct 10 '21

They also aren’t the boss and aren’t being paid to “deal with your shit” basically. Call the business. This makes no sense whatsoever. 😂

man i wish i had soo few problems in my day that i can cry about leafblowers

14

u/luciform44 Oct 10 '21

I honestly hate them and the noise and emissions they make.
I also use them on a daily basis because rich people just won't accept that there might be a bit of sawdust left where a tree used to be after I've spent 5 hours cutting it down piece by piece. Then they complain when the neighbors have work done.

33

u/Juhnelle Oct 10 '21

I wish leaf blowers were the most annoying thing where I live. I'll take a nice leaf blower over a Crack head screaming any day.

u/Industiral_Bird Oct 09 '21

Yeah fuck the cameraman, just let the guys do their fuckin job. I’m a landscaper I would just say “just doing my job, call the cops and the number on the side of the truck cause I don’t really care if you like what I’m doing”

Idk why people have to go out of their way to start shit, I mean he caused more disruption than the landscapers. Most of the time they are in and out quick as hell.

I gotta say, people are giving the cameraman shit but at least he was smart enough to know he was outmatched and walked.

24

u/Master_Tallness Oct 10 '21

Not even about being "outmatched". Just smart to avoid a fight when it's not remotely worth it.

u/lost2049 Oct 09 '21

These guys are just doing their fucking job. Who does this middle class douche bag think he is? If the noise is breaking a some noise ordinance (during the day), talk to the neighbors; they're the ones that fucking hired them. But no, he felt it was safer to punch "down". Too bad he didn't get his ass handed to him.

207

u/Cuzcopete Oct 09 '21

Actually if the workers are breaking the law he should call the company owner as well as code enforcement....maybe they are from another town and dont know local ordinances

4

u/wonderyak Oct 10 '21

I have this issue where I live; the gas powered blowers are banned by the country and city but there's literally no enforcement beyond "sending a letter".

These guys are just trying to do a job, which I get, but laws need to be enforced.

103

u/FrostyD7 Oct 09 '21

Problem for the cammer is its a lose lose situation. He'll be called a pussy for calling the law or reporting it to the city and most likely nothing will be done about it, and he'll be called an asshole if he talks to them in person. I've been there with disrespectful neighbors, they'll act like your harassing them no matter how reasonable and respectful you try to be with them.

Most people here in this thread are wrong. I used to be on a landscape crew. The camera man has every right to complain if there is a noise ordinance against lea blowers which is common. It's not the homeowners responsibility to know it either, it's on the landscape crew and their company would get the fine not the homeowner. The homeowner doesn't tell them how to work or what equipment to use. It's a contract and the homeowner isn't their boss.

127

u/ebagdrofk Oct 10 '21

Yeah I didn’t realize it was normal to threaten to assault someone over a complaint. Reddit confused tf out me at times, feel like it’s run entirely by emotions. I mean yeah the cameraman was being a Karen but the whole act was incredibly immature.

Reddit's main users are 19 year old boys. When you keep that in mind then reading all these dumb comments makes more sense.

15

u/VexingRaven Oct 10 '21

the cameraman was being a Karen

Why does everybody think that asking people to follow city ordinances is being a Karen? Holy shit what is the world coming to, you literally can't do anything other than quietly keep to yourself without getting insulted.

What the fuck is wrong with this thread that it took so long to find this.

Dude tried to find out who the boss was. So many places that have city ordinances against these leaf blowers.

I hate to use the cliche but damn little dick problems when you got to get that aggressive over someone asking where the boss is.

If you're gonna get scrappy you take your shirt off so you can be choked by the collar or it being pulled over your head thus blinding you.

Unless the maintenance guys are causing damage don't get mad at them...They're doing their job they were hired to do. Get mad at the neighbor who hired them or their boss. People who argue with customer service employees suck.

u/Apprehensive-Pay-668 Oct 10 '21

u/Pookanoona Oct 09 '21

The contractors should know local ordinances and so should the homeowner requesting these services!

Lots of comments about the guy’s extra weight. That’s 100% an advantage. He’s going to throw a heavy punch and he can take a hit. And then when it comes to wrestling, he will just rag doll you. I used to be 275 and am now I’m 160. When I was 275, nobody could stop me. Now I have to choose my battles. Well I’m older now. So I choose no battles.
