I think it’s funny how dreadlocks get pushed in the face and immediately went into his “oh no you didn’t hand clap three point hand kiss” pump up only to completely miss and get clocked in the face. Both these guys are complete idiots.

It was so perfect, right? I mean there are professional camera operators that would be jealous of his impeccable timing. The turn and zoom on a descending asscrack as if to say “this is happening too” before turning back to the action. Without any other context you would assume the dude did it on purpose.

So many things pissed me off in that video: the white guy punching/pushing? while he's behind the lady, the Black guy doing all the extra shit after he gets his face pushed/punched, the white guy pulling hair, the white guy holding the Black guy back while he's getting punched/hair pulled, someone yelling for police/security only when the Black guy re-approaches, the guy laying himself on the fallen lady AND YES the lady being super dramatic over a soft, slow and gentle fall on her ass.

Women and some men should NEVER break up fights. It’s a nice gesture, but putting yourself in harms way especially when you don’t know how it feels to get hit is not a good decision. Let the cops handle it. People literally died, because of stuff like this.

As someone who’s been in the security field for almost ten years now, thanks.

We’re for insurance and documentation purposes. Most are trained actually to not physically get involved unless were being threatened. We have personal judgments on trying to resolve fights. Split it up the wrong way and you’re going to court. Get your head split open trying to split it up and you’re on your own, as the policies don’t permit you to get involved anyhow. They don’t request you get involved, because you don’t have any legal authorities that law enforcement does. You document when you were notified of the fight, when you called police, when police arrive, if there was any damage visible to the property, officers involved and when the area was once more clear. The end.

46

u/Mike_ate_Sully Dec 31 '21

This also goes go mall security or any private security for that matter. They're there to only protect the business not the people. I once called mall security on customer cus they demanded to return something they bought from our store but we have a strict no return policy. Security came asked us where we posted the policy and took one look and escorted the customer out the mall.

My aunt used to work in shop in Stoke-on-Trent’s city centre. When England beat Argentina in the Japan/SK World Cup they ended up having to pull the shutters to all the shops (with customers in) because the Stoke City and Port Vale fans all squared up and started a fight that turned into a riot. Once you get to international football, that's when the old national wounds begin.

Suddenly you're punching a guy who lives 60 miles away, because of a war that happened 400 years ago, when your country had a different name and his country was a duchy of a larger country that both of you hate.

But neither of you know that, because you're drunk and undereducated.

And then his “friends” are really acting like his owner saying “look what you did” like he really is a dog.

It hurts to imagine how often this happens as his “friends” seem to have had to deal with this behavior before. Can’t wait for the further context and apologizes, also I could see this guy soon to be on r/byebyejob

Gotta love the idiot in the khaki hat preventing the dreadlocks guy from defending himself.

PSA: Stop holding people's arms to restrain them when they're attacked. It makes it impossible for them to even put up a guard.

u/gewfbawl Dec 31 '21 Silver Take My Energy Table Slap Brighten My Day

That happened to me in highschool, but worse. A dude was swinging punches at me and the moment I land, another guy comes up from behind me, totally unexpectedly, and locks my arms behind my back to where was completely immobilized.

He doesn't pull me away or allow me to move anywhere, not even away from the threat. He's just holding me from doing anything, while repeatedly saying into my ear "Bro, it's not worth it! He's not worth getting in trouble! Don't do this, bro!" Meanwhile the other guy is completely free, lands several completely uncontested punches, and then starts yanking on my hair, to where he pulled out a whole handful. When it got broken up by security, he finally lets go of me, and security starts questioning people. The dude that held me is first in line proudly saying that he broke up because he was trying to keep the peace.

Ever since then, I always hope people that do that get hit, too. Either get between the parties or don't do anything at all. And especially don't block off the party that was assaulted from reacting, while allowing the threat to roam free and continue attacking.

I agree. Watching him restrain the other guy made me furious. In my book any person who prevents me from defending myself and restrains me is fair game for an ass whooping when they let me go. My anger would immediately redirect my energy.

This happened to me in high school. Was provoked into a fight by this bully and his friend came up behind me and grab both my arms. Other guy wrapped his hands around my neck and kneed me in the face. Broke my nose and can’t breathe through it right to this day

60

u/wildlytrue Dec 31 '21

So when are you getting revenge?

155

u/DarkMasterPoliteness Dec 31 '21

Don’t have to. He died of an overdose last year. He was working at a pill mill so don’t feel sorry for him

u/prollyshmokin Dec 31 '21

Yeah, my dad taught me long ago in that situation, you stomp down on their foot as hard as you can so you can break away, or if that doesn't work, you throw your head back to try to hit their nose.

I only ever had to do the foot stomping once on a friend that fucked around and found out. lol

That’s what I thought too! You’re not breaking a fight up, you’re disabling someone.

Only time you should wrap someone’s arms up like that is if they’re beating someone after they’re unconscious.

Why do people pin back the person being assaulted? Like they are the ones taking to far and need to be controlled.
