Dude entertaining with amazing relaxing music. Dude in the background being a total douchebag. Seems legit.

82

u/Vlogchamp Feb 07 '22

This is strangely poetic

Also, anyone know what song he’s playing?

22

u/Raw_Oakland Feb 07 '22

Giveon - Garden Kisses

6

u/Vlogchamp Feb 07 '22

Thank you!

13

u/Stereocrew Feb 07 '22

I could be wrong, but I think is of MD, 1959 Kind of Blue.

5

u/schindlersLisst Feb 19 '22

The ambiance of it all. My fucking gosh man. It just blends so well. The arguing. The music the train. It all.

2

u/TanakaHaikyu_ismyboi Feb 08 '22

Wait I’m stupid, I thought that was lady hear me tonight by modjo?

1

u/KingDlv Feb 08 '22

It’s quite beautiful.

30

u/AMexisatTurtle Feb 07 '22

Idk why but this reminds me of the Titanic with the band planing well chaos is going on

10

u/Djd33j Feb 07 '22

Reminds me of Hey Arnold

3

u/bisonsox Feb 08 '22

I loved Hey Arnold as a kid. It introduced a small town Oklahoma kid to jazz and I’ve lived it since

2

u/fiolentvemmes Feb 08 '22

Damn, I need to rewatch that. Hey Arnold is so good.

71

u/Little-Compote101 Feb 07 '22

It all goes together perfectly. In one way that is NYC. Beautiful and chaotic

24

u/shishdem Feb 07 '22

as someone not from NYC... this looks absolutely horrifying. random people fighting and a loud ass sax... not what I have in mind as a peaceful commute.

13

u/Little-Compote101 Feb 07 '22

I certainly agree. Not a peaceful commute at all

6

u/vanishplusxzone Feb 07 '22

What's a peaceful commute?

5

u/shishdem Feb 07 '22

put in earbuds, travel without getting disturbed, minimal interaction, get to your destimation

6

u/ToastfulBoast Feb 07 '22

It's pretty easy to tune out with experience. I will say I've never seen a fight like this on the subway in person. But maybe 1/5 rides will have some sort of crazy. Then again I only really ride the 1, IDK if it's crazier on other routes.

3

u/Filmcricket Feb 08 '22

Literally nothing stopping that from occurring. You live here and you get good at tuning shit out. If other people doing shit is a threat to your state of being, you’re state of being is fragile and you’re a wienerbaby.

3

u/vanishplusxzone Feb 07 '22

Idk, I don't have subways where I'm from, but I've had as small as a .8 mile commute and I still had to deal with drunk drivers and psychopaths that fucked with pedestrians daily.

A peaceful commute sounds like the kind of thing that just doesn't exist in reality.

1

u/Filmcricket Feb 08 '22

Holy fucking melodramatic lmaooo

1

u/donat28 Feb 08 '22

It becomes ambient noise after a few years

0

u/Little-Compote101 Feb 07 '22

Take jueno station line anywhere. Peaceful in JP

2

u/schindlersLisst Feb 19 '22

The ambiance of it all. It’s strangely poetic

9

u/Rougehuit Feb 07 '22

Hahahah i was about to say this sounds like a Kendrick Lamar outro

44

u/TwilitSky Feb 07 '22

I need to find a fully remote job.

No way I'm putting up with this shit again (it's obviously gotten a lit worse) and the ubers are a waste of money.

13

u/Taupenbeige Feb 07 '22

I’ve been here 20 years this March, and I gotta say, in that time bike commuting has gotten exponentially safer. Also it gives you 💎diamond💎 glutes and 🪨rock🪨 thighs.

Also, nobody firing-up their brass Covid cannon on your F car

7

u/esmereldachiroptera Feb 07 '22

Brass covid cannon 😂😂

2

u/TwilitSky Feb 07 '22

Yeah we're not quite in the 1980s w/ Bernie Goetz, but it's not the 2000s anymore, either.

1

u/almalexias Feb 07 '22

I’ve been biking. It’s pretty nice! You can get yourself an e bike if you need the extra boost, just be sure to wear a helmet

1

u/Filmcricket Feb 08 '22

This video isn’t recent but okay.

6

u/tattoocomtwo Feb 07 '22

anyone know what song he is playin or is it improv?

2

u/schindlersLisst Feb 19 '22

Giveon. Garden kisses

2

u/tattoocomtwo Feb 19 '22

thanks, I checked some versions on youtube but the improv here is really nice

1

u/schindlersLisst Feb 19 '22

Most def. The ambiance of it all is truly poetic. The arguing, the train, the sax. It’s just awesome

7

u/UNIVERSE--EXPLORER Feb 07 '22

When the NPC side quest starts

5

u/Sir-ALBA Feb 07 '22

Someone needs to put a rugged detective voice over this explaining why he hates this city but how it keeps sucking him back in.

20

u/andytheautomator Feb 07 '22

This guy is amazing. Whenever I’m stuck listening to a busker it’s always their first day beat boxxing or they just got electric bagpipes and want to try them out on my car.

4

u/OmahaMarine Feb 07 '22

Was almost expecting a voiceover to start at any moment

2

u/Pajaro_negro Feb 07 '22

Taxi driver?

4

u/cruisin5268d Feb 07 '22

Ahhhh yes. Just another day on the NYC subway.

3

u/Texas_Technician Feb 07 '22

I never want to live in a big city unless I'm stupid fucking rich. Cuz then I wouldn't have to deal with shit like this.

3

u/Bugtustle Feb 08 '22

If I was rich, I would never consider living in a city. I could afford to be far away from crazy assholes and it would be the absolute best use of my money.

5

u/Gilligan910 Feb 07 '22

This might seem strange but this was beautiful, fucking art.

2

u/KingDlv Feb 08 '22

My thoughts exactly. This is quite beautiful to say the least. Everything works out just so perfect.

4

u/Maxwell_is_god Feb 08 '22

Damn, his biceps are as impressive as his Sax skills.

5

u/DoS-Boot Feb 08 '22

Real talent. The boner is a weird flex though I dunno.

3

u/SebaNippon Feb 07 '22

This should be the soundtrack to every public freak out / fight from now on.

3

u/skum_fuc Feb 08 '22

If I had one video reference to describe America

3

u/newtoreddir Feb 08 '22

How can you be that mad while that smooth, smooth sax is playing?

3

u/seeyouauntie666 Feb 08 '22

This shit is beautiful

2

u/Celelas Feb 07 '22

Man is jazzing

2

u/BIG8L_117 Feb 07 '22

Seems nyc to me

2

u/iamhe02 Feb 07 '22

Oh, definitely. I love that tune.

2

u/Effective_Web2763 Feb 07 '22

Chaotic balance

2

u/Pajaro_negro Feb 07 '22

Looks like he was improvising to the kaos

2

u/Maverick_mind106 Feb 07 '22

In a world of violence and idiotic people screaming at each other, be the cool guy with the saxophone.

2

u/gonedeep619 Feb 08 '22

Crazy guy has his own background music.

2

u/toddrick1010 Feb 08 '22

You ain’t Jesus Christ!!

2

u/ChillyJaguar Feb 08 '22

I dunno, the lyrics dont really mend well with the music

2

u/sasuraii Apr 21 '22

Beautiful chaos

4

u/Independent_Cause575 Feb 07 '22

Looks like the subway in Philly

2

u/Professional-Can4896 Feb 08 '22

Yeah broad st line

2

u/bigchicago04 Feb 07 '22

I don’t think anybody who rides the subway with these people would call it beautiful.

1

u/Feli_Bosc Feb 07 '22

So people on this train do not have a choice. They are all forced to listen to this guy playing. I think it's really unfair doing this on a train because you force people into it. Do it on the streets where people would have a choice to stop to listen or not

3

u/liquorbath Feb 07 '22

lol one the most talented buskers I’ve seen in a video and that’s your complaint… not the imbeciles fighting in the background

4

u/Uchiha7613 Feb 07 '22

Damn bruh you sound like fun…

1

u/yaboiprettyrich Feb 07 '22

Sounds like the intro to a Kendrick Lamar album

0

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '22

1

u/Secretagentman94 Feb 07 '22

This will be the ending credits scene for 2022.

1

u/xaioxi Feb 07 '22

Just de-escalating with vibes :-)

1

u/ConsistentFinancce Feb 07 '22

1959 Kind of Blue.

1

u/MakerOrNot Feb 07 '22

Id love to hear him on a Tenor.

1

u/Smiling-Pariah Feb 07 '22

Someone give that man a hug

1

u/Interesting_Ad_7863 Feb 07 '22

This got me feeling emotional

1

u/Chicken_rifle Feb 07 '22

I was hoping for careless whisperer when I saw the saxophone

1

u/TheSunshineDemon Feb 07 '22

Further proof Saxophones make it sexy anywhere, anytime

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '22

1

u/peyott100 Feb 07 '22

The duality of man

1

u/VibanGigan Feb 07 '22

Bro Kendrick Lamar about to sample this, lay it in the background and start talking about “I remember you was conflicted, misusing ya influence, sometimes I didn’t the same” and jam 😂😂

1

u/YuriWinter Feb 07 '22

It feels like the end credits of a movie except instead of bloopers it's just the backstage arguing.

1

u/CLiedFrog Feb 07 '22

Is the subway in Toronto anything like NY

1

u/Broumzo Feb 07 '22

Talent is just a Bad habit if you don't practice enough Stay home ans work bro, tour Sax sounds baaaaad

1

u/sorta_sad_sorta_not Feb 07 '22

At first I was like “why is this posted in this subreddit” and then it all became clear🧡

1

u/DamnBunny Feb 07 '22

This is pretty much how i pictured every episode of Sopranos when they have the music audio louder than the voices.

1

u/sonambassador Feb 07 '22

Makes me miss the craziness of the train.

1

u/fanneric85 Feb 07 '22

Would’ve been better if you’d broke out into eye of the Tiger

1

u/lilgreekscrfreek Feb 07 '22

Can I sample this?

1

u/nigelli Feb 07 '22

Is this to pimp a butterfly?

1

u/AirVido Feb 07 '22

Damn that sax gave me goosebumps and teared me up a little and these other people were fighting. Different Stokes for different folks.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '22

where there is yin there is yang.

1

u/PerilousPursuit Feb 07 '22

How can you be so angry and aggressive with such pretty/calming music being played LIVE!!🤔

1

u/Raw_Oakland Feb 07 '22

This shit turned into a Kendrick Lamar interlude

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '22

This needs to become the opening to a show on adult swim at night

1

u/Fusaah Feb 07 '22

Is someone else playing bass or am I losing it lmao?

1

u/Biggy_DX Feb 07 '22

u/gunk_sprayer_123 Feb 07 '22

ooooohh, aaaahhhhhh. the talent and the anger.

1

u/B2M3T02 Feb 07 '22

What instrument is this and is it hard to learn

1

u/ScreamapillarAPI Feb 07 '22

Why do I feel like the audio from this would make a good sample or intro to a beat.

1

u/lunabean134 Feb 07 '22

Smooth tunes to fight too.

1

u/Anonymous_45 Feb 07 '22

Is it just me or does the bass line sound like Lady by Modjo?

1

u/UGLYWOLFF Feb 07 '22

Bet half that L didn't want to hear any of it

1

u/BlackmanNthrobbin Feb 08 '22

That sounded like a cutscene from boys in the hood or some shit

1

u/CH2794 Feb 08 '22

Ah the soothing sounds of New York

1

u/JoeBurrows_Hair Feb 08 '22

Kendrick Lamar vibes

1

u/International-Aide-2 Feb 08 '22

Kendrick? This new album 🔥🔥🔥🔥

1

u/Eicee1989 Feb 08 '22

This sound like an intro for a Snoop Dogg hip hop song

1

u/Filmcricket Feb 08 '22

One of my favorite songs.

1

u/Original-Pollution61 Feb 08 '22

Just another night in city

1

u/Crashhh_96 Feb 08 '22

Spike Lee movies be like

1

u/amalgaman Feb 08 '22

Jax. Friendship.

1

u/MammothJackass Feb 08 '22

This was legitimately beautiful and I've heard other artists emulate it in their own way (Like Joji's Worldstar Money (interlude). So crazy to see it happen naturally and the guy just keeps playing that buttery smooth music lmao... wild...

1

u/Pillow_Top_Lover Feb 18 '22

What is not to like about a well played saxophone.

At least stop, chill and listen.

1

u/beatlelover14 Mar 29 '22

NY is like a fever dream

1

u/catobsession223 May 08 '22

Would let him play at my funeral after the fight

1

u/BandicootLeather6314 May 25 '22

I’d call this album “songs of the city” this sounds like the perfect interlude song

1

u/Sergi24 May 25 '22

Reminds me a song MOMMA TALK by Tyler, The Creator
